1986
Chairman of the Board Yalçın Ayaydın set the foundation for IPEKYOL Group in 1986 when he arrived in Istanbul from Mardin with ambitious dreams to make a difference in the retail fashion space. Today, the Group operates with over 300 stores domestically and internationally, featuring Türkiye’s first integrated ready-to-wear production facility in Edirne and a central office in Istanbul.
1989
The first IPEKYOL store opened on Rumeli Avenue in Istanbul, one of the most vibrant and fashionable neighborhoods in the ready-to-wear industry of the period. Inspiring the lifestyle of the modern woman through its collections in ready-to-wear, bags, shoes, and accessories, IPEKYOL quickly became a preferred fashion brand for women who aspired to be stylish throughout the day.
1997
Drawing inspiration from the liberated essence of the streets, TWIST has established itself in the fashion space as a dynamic brand catering to both the youth and women of all ages who embrace a youthful spirit.
2002
IPEKYOL began its journey to become a global brand by opening its first store in Abu Dhabi, making it the first Turkish brand to have a presence in the Emirati capital.
2004
Youngest of the Group trio, MACHKA has become a prominent leader in the Turkish textile industry as Türkiye's first 'pret-a porter' brand. The MACHKA Collection, known for its feminine and post-romantic designs, was crafted through a successful partnership with world-renowned Ece Ege of Dice Kayek. The brand caters to chic women with refined tastes, offering quality fabrics, elegant patterns, and unique craftsmanship for both everyday wear and special occasions.
2006
The IPEKYOL Group Factory, situated on a 17,000 square meter site in Edirne, started its operations as Türkiye's first integrated ready-to-wear production facility. Awarded the Aga Khan Architecture Award in 2010, the factory operates with a "green management" philosophy. The use of innovative and sustainable technologies such solar panels and rainwater harvesting system contribute to energy and water efficiency at the factory.
2008
IPEKYOL Group's international growth strategy elevated through a partnership with Italy’s leading fashion company Miroglio Group. This collaboration is yielding significant results in expanding both revenue and sales outlets, both in the domestic and international markets.
2012
Driven by an innovative mindset, IPEKYOL Group introduced its online stores to adapt to the demands of the digital era. Currently, the visitor numbers and revenue targets for both online sales platforms and mobile applications distinguish our brands prominently among competitors.
2019
IPEKYOL Group initiated a partnership with Zalando, Germany's largest online retail platform, as part of its international growth strategy. This debut enhanced our brand recognition in the German market and established the groundwork for further European expansion.
2022
Following an 8-month design process led by the renowned French Art Director Thomas Schwab, the IPEKYOL logo was redesigned with the Monogram Collection crafted around the new IPK symbol. The collection featured signature items, including bags, wallets, shoes, silk scarves, gloves, and hats. Introduced with the goal of becoming a gift-giving collection and aiming to enhance living spaces, IPEKYOL Cosmetics offered a myriad of personal care and home cosmetics products, along with curated gift sets.
2023
The first international IPEKYOL store, managed operationally and financially from the headquarters, opened its doors at The Mall shopping center in Dubai.

When we laid the foundations of IPEKYOL in 1986, our vision was to become a leading brand in ready-to-wear women's clothing, starting in Türkiye, and progressively expanding to regional and international markets.+ Read more . We worked tirelessly to make our dreams come true, delicately bringing to life the ideas infused with our spirit. We have been inspired by the past and motivated by the future. We never settled for less, but always aimed for perfection. With the goal of contributing to our country and the world, we directed our efforts towards employment opportunities. Our establishment of Türkiye’s first integrated women’s ready-to-wear factory in Edirne was honored with the Aga Khan Architecture Award. Shaping the future of our brands, we embraced R&D investments to drive digital transformation and employ technology in every aspect. We also prioritized the development of sustainable policies, placing a focus on environmental respect and committing to conducting production at global standards. Continuing our steady growth through both domestic and international investments, we leverage our local strength to take consistent steps towards becoming a global brand while contributing to the national economy and generating employment in the industry. With our leading brands in the women’s ready-to-wear sector, we remain dedicated to making lasting and positive contributions to the Turkish textile industry. Our brands consistently offer styles and designs that embody innovation, trends, quality, and elegance.
